Gerard van der Wal was admitted to the Bar in 1977. He was a former resident partner of Houthoff Buruma in Brussels before being appointed as partner at Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh on 1 August 2016. He practises EU and competition law and has extensive experience in state aid, IP and free trade imports, in particular with luxury brands and the agricultural and pharma sectors.
Gerard is a highly experienced international litigator, he worked with our partners on the distressed privatisation of National Employment Agency Arbeidsvoorziening (Kliq), the restructuring of the KLM and Dutch Railways’ owned High Speed concession to Brussels and advised on state aid regarding premier division football clubs PSV and FC Twente.
